Have you seen this?

Pasco Coupons

We’ve added a new page to the blog called “Pasco Coupons.” If you’re headed out shopping or going out for a meal around Pasco, check out that page and you might find some coupons or discounts available from local Pasco businesses. You can move the map around, zoom in or out, and so forth.

We don’t provide any of the coupons — they (and the map) come from a site called CouponMap.com, which lets us embed the map very easily here on our blog.

We hope you find it useful!

Pasco School District adds a day of school

January 5th, 2010 by Matt McGee | Posted in Pasco Schools | No Comments »

Thanks to the snow day that let kids stay home from school back on December 16, the Pasco School District is pushing back the end of the school year. The last day of school was going to be Friday, June 11. PSD has announced that the last day of school will now be Monday, June 14, 2010. And if there are more snow days, they’ll have to push it back even further.

Took this photo while we were out and about this morning on Road 68. Roads were mostly fine, but just a couple slippy spots here and there.

TC Prep star in Sports Illustrated

December 27th, 2009 by Matt McGee | Posted in Pasco Schools | No Comments »

Congrats to Will Hoppes of Tri-Cities Prep — his amazing accomplishments on the football field, which included a state championship for the Jaguars, have earned him a spot in the current issue of Sports Illustrated magazine.

He appears in the “Faces In The Crowd” section, which honors amateur athletes of all ages. You can see him here on SI.com, but in case that link goes away, here’s a screenshot:

It says “Richland” because, I presume, that’s where Will and his family call home.

Wingstop coming to Pasco?

December 21st, 2009 by Matt McGee | Posted in Pasco Business, where:99301 | No Comments »

If you like wings for lunch or dinner, you may soon have a new restaurant option right in Pasco. The owners of the Wingstop franchise in Richland say they’re looking to open a new restaurant in Pasco. According to the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business, the restaurant is looking — as you might have guessed — in the Road 68 area and hopes to be open by the summer:

“We’d like to be open by the end of June and have our grand opening on the Fourth of July, to tie into the one-year anniversary of this store.”

That’s a quote from Dave Tuthill, one of the owners of the existing Wingstop restaurant. He says they hope to choose location in the next month.
